Why I Love Jazzercise

It is about a week and a half into summer now and it's my favorite season for lots of reasons, one of those reasons being Jazzercise.
Before I begin my story with Jazzercise I would like to explain what it is just in case you have never participated in a Jazzercise class. For starters Jazzercise is exercise that is fun. Yes, I said fun. What's the point of exercise if it's not fun? Going to class is a time to dance, smile, sing along to your favorite songs and sweat. An instructor leads the class on stage and together on the floor we all dance along with her to songs that are beloved by all. Each class is a fresh mix of songs and moves and it never feels like the same thing over and over again.
For most of class we just use our bodies to move and then sometimes for part of class we also use dumbbells and/or mats. I bring my own dumbbells and mat so this way I do not have to touch anyone else's. Not having to share equipment is really good for me so this way I do not have to worry about what other people ate and touched. When I go to an ordinary gym (which I have done) it's a process of figuring out where to put my epi-pens and phone and water while I clean the whole machine and cup holder and then the cleaner drying out and having to get more. It's just complicated, where Jazzercise just makes my life worry free.
I just walk in, scan my key tag, change into my sneakers, put my bag, weights and mat off to the side and start class. I know my stuff is near me and I do not have to worry about where to put it and cleaning everything first. I still clean my stuff, its just I don't have to worry about other people touching my stuff.
I have been doing Jazzercise for a few years now. I believe I started when I was 13 or maybe 14 years old. Each summer I would go with my mom a few times a week (when I would wake up in time) and dance my heart out.
This year Jazzercise created GirlForce which allows other girls (and guys!) my age to do Jazzercise for free for all of 2017! I took advantage of this offer and started doing Jazzercise in January, instead of waiting until the summer. If you are looking for somewhere fun to dance, Jazzercise is the place to go!
