I'm addicted to Sally's Baking Addiction
This is the third time I have blogged about Sally's Baking Addiction and honestly I don't know if I will ever stop. I really love Sally's Baking Addiction and her recipes. All of the recipes I will discuss in this post are peanut, tree nut, shellfish, fish, legume and sesame free.

My mom and I have been baking a lot since my last post in October about Sally's Baking Addiction. One of our now favorite recipes from Sally's that my mom and I have been making together and made at least three or four times was Cranberry Crumble Pie Bars. These bars are delicious, and easy to make, as a food processor can be used instead of a mixer. I didn't even realize how much I loved cranberries until we made these bars.

My family really likes pumpkin, so my mom one day made Sally's Pumpkin Crumb Cake Muffins, and these were so amazing. These were like a cross between a pumpkin muffin and crumb cake. I wasn't part of the baking process for these specifically, but I really enjoyed eating them.

For Thanksgiving my mom and I made homemade pie dough for the first time in a very long time. We used Sally's Homemade Buttery Flaky Pie Crust recipe and got a beautiful pie dough. We used this pie dough to make pumpkin pie, mini versions of Sally's Apple Hand Pies and Homemade Cinnamon PopTarts.
My family also loves cookies. We have so many cookies we make for Christmas every year and use family recipes for, but this year I decided to try a couple of new ones. Thanks to Shoprite's new Bowl and Basket safe white chocolate chips, I have been able to bake and decorate with more white chocolate chips than I usually would.

I decided to make Sally's Inside Out Chocolate Chip Cookies which have a chocolate dough and white chocolate chips. This recipe made a great chocolate cookie and I will definitely make this recipe again, and probably even use it for other chocolate cookies.
I also made Sally's Christmas Cookie Sparkles which turned out beautiful and were probably one of my favorite sugar cookie recipes ever. The recipe called for cream cheese, which I don't usually eat, but since it was getting baked I figured it would be fine, and I really believe it's the cream cheese that made all the difference. These cookies were so flavorful and thick, everyone in my family loved them.

Recently Sally published a new recipe for 6-inch homemade Small Chocolate Cake. I had never made chocolate cake from scratch before, as I had always just used a box mix, so I figured trying it out for 6-inch cake would be okay. The chocolate cake itself had an amazing texture that was exciting considering it was homemade and not from a box. I think I would like to try other cake from scratch recipes now, as usually I only make pound cakes and muffins from scratch.
This month I participated in the January Sally's Baking Challenge, and made homemade pizza dough from scratch. With this dough I made a Pepperoni Stromboli for the challenge and then a homemade pizza. It was really fun to make and I was happy with how it turned out considering it was my first time making dough for pizza and Stromboli.

I am excited to see what the February Baking Challenge is going to be and hope to participate in it!
